By reading the site you accept that it is educational material for adults, that it gives no advice, and that decisions about gambling, and their results, are your own.
1. Adults only
The site is for people aged 18+. Section 72 of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 requires operators to keep children out of online games, lotteries and bets and to ask for proof of age of majority. If you are under 18, this material is not for you.
2. What the site is
BetSmart Kenya publishes explanations of betting arithmetic and summaries of Kenyan gambling rules. It is not a gambling operator, takes no stakes, pays no prizes and holds no licence, because it conducts no gambling activity.
3. No advice
Nothing here is betting, financial, tax or legal advice. Summaries of the law are written for general understanding and do not replace the official text or a qualified adviser. Where a page and the official text differ, the official text governs.
4. Calculators and examples
The calculators perform arithmetic on the figures you enter. They cannot predict the result of any event, and a favourable-looking output is not a reason to bet. Worked cases marked "Illustrative example" use invented figures.
Check any result that matters to you by hand. The formulas are printed beside each tool, for example on the odds converter page.
5. Accuracy
Care is taken to match the sources cited, but the site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that every page is complete, current or free of error. Laws and regulations change. Errors can be reported as described on the corrections page.
6. Your responsibility
Any decision to gamble, and any loss that follows, is yours. To the extent the law allows, the publisher accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on the site. If gambling is harming you or someone close to you, see the responsible gambling page.
7. Operators and third parties
The site does not link to gambling operators and does not vouch for any of them. Whether a company is licensed is a question for the register kept by the Gambling Regulatory Authority. Links to official sources are given for reference; their content is outside the site's control.
8. Use of the content
You may read, print and quote the pages for personal and educational purposes with a mention of the source. Do not republish them as advertising for gambling, and do not present them as an endorsement of any operator.
9. Publisher and changes
The publisher's legal entity is not yet published; see the about page. These terms may be revised, and the date at the top of the page shows the latest version. They are to be read under the laws of Kenya.
